DTWO at WindEnergy Hamburg 2026: connecting innovation across the wind energy sector
Mon 28 Sep 2026The DTWO project joined the international wind energy community at WindEnergy Hamburg 2026, held from 22 to 25 September in Hamburg, Germany.
As one of the world’s leading meeting points for the wind energy sector, the event brought together companies, researchers, technology providers and decision-makers to exchange knowledge, explore emerging technologies and discuss the future of onshore and offshore wind energy. This year’s edition featured more than 1,600 exhibitors and a conference programme with over 300 speakers across six stages.
DTWO participated as part of the Wind Innovation Cluster Hub, a shared space connecting European research and innovation projects working across the wind energy sector. The Hub provided an opportunity to showcase ongoing research, strengthen connections between projects and engage directly with representatives from industry and the wider wind energy community.
A highlight of the participation was the presentation of DTWO at the WindEnergy Hamburg Speakers’ Corner, introducing the project and its work on federated digital twins for offshore wind to the event audience.
Throughout the event, the DTWO team also had the opportunity to meet other projects and stakeholders, exchange perspectives on current challenges and innovations in wind energy, and explore potential synergies for future collaboration.
Participation in WindEnergy Hamburg represents another important step in connecting DTWO’s research with the broader wind energy ecosystem and ensuring that the project’s developments benefit from continuous exchange with the sector.
