DTWO at WindEurope Technology Workshop 2025
Thu 12 Jun 2025DHI will take part in the WindEurope Technology Workshop 2025 in Istanbul, Turkey (19–20 June), showcasing work from the DTWO project. As part of the event, Metocean engineer Ioannis Koumaniotis will present a poster part of the DTWO project on hybrid modelling of sea state conditions. The poster highlights the combination of two methods to simulate waves and water movements, using case studies from two Ørsted offshore wind farms.
The WindEurope Technology Workshop is a key event for technical experts across the wind energy sector. The workshop gathers leading researchers, engineers, and innovators to explore the latest advances in wind resource assessment, data modelling, forecasting, turbine performance analysis and more.
Among the presentations there will be DTWO’s partner DHI: Ioannis Koumaniotis will bring a poster titled “Fast wave and ocean flow modelling for two operating wind farms”, that presents a methodology for efficient simulation of sea state conditions using the MIKE Metocean Simulator. The work showcases results from two Ørsted-operated offshore wind farms and explores how fast wave and ocean flow modelling can deliver reliable inputs for wind farm design and operations.
