DTWO joins the new Wind Innovation Cluster Hub

Tue 01 Sep 2026

Bringing together around 200 organisations across 18 EU-funded projects, the Wind Innovation Cluster Hub creates a shared space for projects working on innovative wind energy solutions to exchange knowledge, coordinate activities and increase the visibility and impact of their results.

The initiative aims to move beyond fragmented project-by-project outreach by fostering stronger connections between research, industry and other key stakeholders. Through the Hub, participating projects will collaborate on communication and dissemination activities, stakeholder engagement, knowledge exchange and joint dialogue with policymakers and the wind energy industry.

The Hub is structured around four thematic working groups covering circularity and advanced materials; digital monitoring, O&M and wind farm control; offshore wind technologies and infrastructure; and system integration, grid and market readiness.

For DTWO, the initiative represents an important opportunity to connect its work on federated digital twins for offshore wind with complementary technologies and expertise being developed across Europe. In particular, DTWO’s activities strongly contribute to the Hub’s focus on digital monitoring, where digital twins, AI-based monitoring, predictive maintenance, forecasting and decision-support systems are among the key areas addressed.
