DTWO video series: the experts driving the research that define DTWO
Mon 31 Mar 2025A new video series is launching to explore the DTWO project, its objectives, and the progress made so far. This series will introduce the consortium behind the project, showcasing the experts driving the research and innovation that define DTWO.
In the first video interview, we meet Petro Kersta and Karolina Jurak from SoftServe, a key partner involved in developing the initial Digital Twin architecture and conducting the testing and compliance analysis. SoftServe plays a critical role in shaping the three foundational building blocks of the DTWO platform: the Federated Architecture of Digital Twins, DTWO Scientific Integration, and the Final DTWO Platform Architecture and Integration. Their expertise ensures the essential characteristics of interoperability and security.
Over the past seven months, DTWO has already reached significant milestones in building its federated digital twin framework, defining the key elements that will drive offshore wind advancements. The project’s use cases are shaping its strategic direction, ensuring that the solutions developed align with real-world industry needs.

Wind Europe Technology Workshop 2025: AI at the forefront of wind forecasting
Artificial intelligence and machine learning are transforming the landscape of contemporary wind forecasting. This could be the main highlight of the Wind Europe Technology Workshop 2025, to which DHI, DTWO’s partner, participated with a poster.

DTWO on the Wind Europe Science Conference 2025 stage
DTU, VKI and DHI will be present for DTWO at the Wind Energy Science Conference (WESC) 2025, which will take place in Nantes, France, from June 24 to 27. Three abstracts – one from each partner – will be presented, jointly giving a comprehensive overview of the project and creating an opportunity for fruitful knowledge-sharing.

DTWO at WindEurope Technology Workshop 2025
DHI will take part in the WindEurope Technology Workshop 2025 in Istanbul, Turkey (19–20 June), showcasing work from the DTWO project. As part of the event, Metocean engineer Ioannis Koumaniotis will present a poster part of the DTWO project on hybrid modelling of sea state conditions. The poster highlights the combination of two methods to simulate waves and water movements, using case studies from two Ørsted offshore wind farms.
